Opposition protesting outside Armenian MFA building ahead of Pashinyan’s arrival

Supporters of the opposition Homeland Salvation Movement are holding a rally outside the Armenian Foreign Ministry before Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s arrival at the ministry, Report informs, citing a TASS correspondent.

Police forces, including special forces, were dispatched to the ministry in the morning. Several hundred law enforcement officers cordoned off a section of Vazgen Sargsyan Street.

Several dozen protesters have arrived at the Foreign Ministry. The protesters hold a rally at the police cordon.

The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers told TASS that a working meeting is planned at the Prime Minister’s office at the Foreign Ministry. Representatives of the opposition Movement to Save the Motherland previously announced their intention to block the building entrance for Pashinyan.
