Armenia’s ex-PM: Loss of over 5,000 soldiers can be considered Guinness record

“It is clear to everyone that the Armenian state is at the abyss,” said Vazgen Manukyan, Armenia’s former prime minister, candidate for an interim PM from the Homeland Salvation Party, Report informs, citing Armenian media.

“In this war (in Karabakh), we lost over 5,000 soldiers, which can probably be considered a Guinness record for a 2.5 million-strong nation to have such losses in 44 days,” he said.

He noted that no one in Armenia was brought to responsibility for the devastating consequences of the war after all that happened. To add to that, the prime minister acts the way as if it is not he, but someone else, who should be blamed.

According to Manukyan, Armenia’s losses were not limited to war. He added that the judicial system, the sphere of education are attacked, and the Armenian nuke plant’s shutdown is also spoken of.

“Our state is at the abyss, or we will have a formal state that will have no sovereignty and will not develop,” he said.
