Ilham Aliyev: Azerbaijan closely working with new White House administration

The US was always helpful in implementation of the big energy projects, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said during the videoconference discussions of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center “South Caucasus: Prospects for Regional Development and Cooperation.”

According to Report, he noted that Azerbaijan has very diversified relations with the United States.

“But we want to diversify them even more, particularly, to cover the area of modern technologies, trade. The level of mutual trade is still very low.”

He noted that the two countries could also cooperate in the defense industry.

The head of state noted that Azerbaijan is closely cooperating with the new White House administration. Ilham Aliyev added that he had a phone call from the US President’s National Security Adviser, and during those talks, they discussed many issues.
