Volumes of Rosneft diesel fuel imports by SOCAR revealed

From May 24 to May 30, SOCAR New Enegry supplied Ukraine with 9,900 tons of diesel fuel produced by Rosneft, Report informs, citing the A-95 consulting group.

In particular, 3,000 tons were supplied to Bel Petrol Trading (Motto) and 2,800 tons to Libro Trading. The ultimate recipients of 2,500 tons and 1,600 tons of the resource were BS Oil (Unimex) and BRSM-Nafta.

It is worth noting that out of the total volume, 2,000 tons from SOCAR New Enegry were contracted by a company from the OKKO group, but later it sold this resource to one of the traders, as mentioned above.

OKKO received the first batch of diesel fuel produced by Rosneft on May 24.

As a reminder, SOCAR has become an export operator of Rosneft’s oil products to Ukraine. The quota of the new operator for May was more than 100,000 tons of diesel fuel and 12,000 tons of liquefied gas. However, market participants previously noted that the probable period for the start of supplies could only be the beginning of June.

It was also reported that SOCAR would be able to offer the first volume of LPG under TERM contracts from July 2021. The premium under the contract may be USD 25 per ton to the monthly average of the Argus daf Brest quotation. SOCAR New Enegry offers spot consignments of Rosneft autogas in May and June with a premium of USD 40 per ton to the monthly average daf Brest.

Due to pressure from the Ukrainian security forces, the Swiss trader Proton Energy Group S.A. decided to stop supplying Rosneft’s oil products to the Ukrainian market from April 1, 2021. In 2020, the trader provided Ukraine with 1.74 million tons of diesel fuel (23.4% of the market) and 443,000 tons (22.3%) of liquefied gas.
