Russian, Armenian FMs mull implementing trilateral Karabakh deals
Russian and Armenian Foreign Ministers Sergei Lavrov and Ararat Mirzoyan respectively discussed on the phone the implementation of the trilateral agreements between the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia, dated November 10, 2020 and January 11, 2021, Report informs, citing the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“The ministers expressed a unanimous opinion that unblocking transport and economic communications in the South Caucasus, promoting confidence-building measures and building up mutually beneficial cooperation between the neighbors will further normalize the situation in the region,” the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
The Russian side expressed satisfaction with the results of the meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia, held on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, with the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs.
