Jailed ex-president’s wife says “Saakashvili is a political prisoner”

“Mikheil Saakashvili is a political prisoner,” his wife, Yelyzaveta Yasko, a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, told reporters, the local bureau of Report informs.

She believes that the Georgian people should protect both their own and Saakashvili’s future.

Yasko said that she wished her husband would soon be released.

We should note that Yasko is in Georgia. She visited Saakashvili in Rustavi Prison No. 12 today.
