European Commission to propose long-term measures to energy crisis

The European Commission on October 13 will propose medium and long-term measures to resolve the crisis in the energy sector, Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, told a presser following the EU-Western Balkans summit in Slovenia, Report informs.

“Next Wednesday, we will discuss proposals for preparing a more structured dialogue at the EU summit (October 21-22). These proposals relate to both measures that can be taken at the national level, and at the Pan-European level in the medium and long term,” said von der Leyen.

Charles Michel, President of the European Council, said that the issue of the crisis in energy and energy security will be discussed at the EU summit on October 21-22.
