Azerbaijan’s COVID death toll nears 6,900

Azerbaijan has recorded 2,036 new coronavirus cases over the past day, the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers told Report.

Meanwhile, 1,045 people recovered from the infection, and 25 patients succumbed to the deadly pathogen.

Overall, the country has reported 516,325 cases of infection, 484,604 recoveries, and 6,894 deaths since the onset of the pandemic. At present, 24,827 people are receiving treatment.

Azerbaijan has conducted 5,108,298 COVID-19 tests over the past period, including 12,325 today.
