Azerbaijani Central Bank raises discount rate

The Board of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan made a decision to increase the discount rate by 0.25 percentage points – from 7% to 7.25%, Report informs about it with reference to the bank.

According to the information, the lower limit of the interest rate band was kept at 6%, and the upper limit was increased from 8% to 8.25%.

This decision comes into force today. The next CBA decision on the parameters of the interest rate corridor will be announced in 2022.
