Appoinment of school principals entrusted to Ministry of Education

From now on, the Ministry of Education will appoint school principals, Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev said at a briefing, Report informs.

He said there had been two structures previously, while the new decree had resolved this issue.

According to the minister, there are no legislative bans on occupying any positions.

“What is going on in the classroom in any school depends directly on the teacher. It is necessary to establish this process correctly for the directors’ appointment to be transparent. We are passing to a more centralized system. The most important is the professionalism of the appointed person and the transparent organization of this work. Today there are 500 vacancies of school principals in the country. The problem is linked to knowledge and qualifications.”
