Russian, US defense chiefs discuss situation in Ukraine

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin discussed security issues over the phone, Report informs, citing the Russian Defense Ministry.

“On January 6, 2022, telephone talks were held between the minister of defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergei Shoigu, and Secretary of Defense of the United States of America Lloyd James Austin. Security issues of mutual interest were discussed,” the ministry said.
