Azerbaijan’s 50-manat banknote among most perfect banknotes
The latest 50-manat banknotes issued by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) since early 2021 have been selected as the most perfect banknote of the year, Report informs, citing the CBA.
The International Association of Currency Affairs (IACA) held the “Excellence in Currency Awards 2022” competition, which covered banknotes issued by the central banks of Indonesia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Singapore, the Philippines, Mexico, the UK and other countries last year.
In November last year, the International Hologram Manufacturers Association (IHMA) declared the new 50-manat banknote winner in the “banknote with the safest security system” category at an international conference in the United Kingdom.
Within the concept of national banknotes dedicated to the Independent Azerbaijan theme, the updated 50-manat banknote, aimed at education and the development of Azerbaijan’s future, depicts symbols such as Stairs, School, Pupil, Student, national carpet patterns and ornaments.
The banknotes are equipped with security systems that reflect the latest technological innovations.
