Gazprom: Less than 20% of gas injected in summer remains in Europe’s storage facilities

Less than 20% of the gas injected in the summer remains in underground gas storage facilities (UGS) in Europe, Report informs citing RIA Novosti.

The overall level of their occupancy is 39%.

“Less than 20% of the gas injected in summer remains in UGS facilities in Europe. According to Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE), as of January 29, the volume of gas in European underground storage facilities is 27.3% (14.4 billion cubic meters) less than last year. More than 4/5 of the volume of gas injected in the summer season has been collected. As of January 29, gas withdrawal reached 80.3% or 38.4 billion cubic meters. The total level of filling of UGS facilities in Europe is 39%,” Gazprom’s Telegram channel says.
