Armenians fire at Azerbaijani positions in Tartar district
Members of the illegal Armenian armed group in the territory of Azerbaijan, where Russian peacekeepers are temporarily stationed, fired at the positions of the Azerbaijani Army in the direction of Gapanli village of Tartar district from 00:23 to 02:12 (GMT +4) on February 6, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.
Units of the Azerbaijani Army responded immediately.
As a result of the incident, no civilians or personnel of the Azerbaijani units were injured.
When Azerbaijani positions came under fire, a civilian building in the area of Gapanli village was shot.
The Azerbaijani side observed that members of the illegal Armenian armed group opened fire under the influence of alcohol.
The command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent and the Russian-Turkish Joint Monitoring Center were immediately informed about the incident.
