Doctors identify “deceptive symptom” of omicron

People have become more likely to complain of indigestion during the outbreak of the Omicron strain, Report informs referring to specialists from the ZOE COVID Study.

“We have noticed a dramatic increase in the number of people reporting gastrointestinal manifestations,” the publication says.

The specialists stressed that the trend was observed from mid-December to the end of January.

According to experts, problems with the gastrointestinal tract in infected people really began to occur with “omicron”. But doctors believe that the overall increase in reports of such symptoms is not related to the peculiarity of this variant of the coronavirus, but to the mistakes of COVID patients.

Experts emphasized that in winter there is often an increase in patients with a similar ailment.
