The United States and Azerbaijan will supply 1 billion cubic meters of gas to Bulgaria
Bulgarian Prime Minister Kirill Petkov expects the start of Azerbaijani gas supplies in July.
This will happen through the Bulgaria-Greece (IGB) pipeline.
This week, Petkov will visit Baku to confirm supplies.
“We will already have one billion cubic meters of gas, which will be transported soon. “I expect that in July-August, Bulgaria will receive a billion cubic meters of gas at a price several times lower than the current market price,” he said.
At the same time, the Prime Minister noted that negotiations are underway on a long-term supply of US liquefied natural gas. According to Petkov, Bulgaria plans to “mix liquefied and Azerbaijani gas so that in the end it will be more profitable than the price offered by Gazprom.”
