Turkey discovers $ 400 billion worth of natural gas: “Not all yet”
“The market value of natural gas in the Black Sea is $ 400 billion. The maximum production from the wells will be in 2026, and 35% of Turkey’s energy consumption will be met here.
The statement came from Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Donmez.
The Minister said that the initial production of 10 million cubic meters per day is expected at the end of March 2023: “We aim at 40 million cubic meters in the second stage. By 2026, all the energy of households will be met here. All the gas used in homes for 25-30 years will come from the Black Sea. The comfort of our citizens is one of our priorities.
Fatih Donmez also noted that all the work was carried out at the same time: “If you wait for one of them to be completed, the project will take 10 years. When we deliver gas in the first quarter of next year, we will break records in many areas. We have discovered a total of 540 billion cubic meters of gas.
