Is a strict quarantine due to a serious increase in the number of infections expected?

In recent days, the increase in the number of cases of coronavirus infection in the world has brought up the issue of re-tightening the quarantine rules. Some countries have already started taking preventive measures to prevent infection. Infectious experts are sounding the alarm and say that a new wave of the pandemic will come in the fall, so closures will be inevitable.

But if the infections increase, are quarantine rules expected to be tightened again in Azerbaijan?

Talking about this, doctor Aydın Aliyev thinks that the increase in the number of coronavirus infections is normal in the current situation. As for our country, the doctor said there is no need to panic.

“For example, China is a big country, the population is too large. That is why there are many people who are not vaccinated and who are not infected with the virus. The number of re-infections is more likely to increase in large countries. However, the increase in infection in our country is not an actual issue. Even if it does, it will pass as just a seasonal flu. In my opinion, there is no need to apply and tighten quarantine rules. I say with full confidence that there will be no need for strict quarantine and closure,” Aydin Aliyev stressed. (modern.az)
