“Today, the situation in the field of psychology in Azerbaijan is not encouraging.”
A well-known psychotherapist, Elmir Akbar, told the children at the speech therapy center about this a few days ago torture he said while talking about the fact of giving.

What a pity, education they don’t think about. They do not understand that in order for a speech therapist and psychologist to work with any problem person, a psychotherapist must first diagnose the patient. Who is a doctor psychotherapist? People in Azerbaijan still do not know this. Fraudsters also try not to tell anyone about it. A neuropathologist or other specialty should not be written on the diploma of a psychotherapist. Only a doctor-psychotherapist should be prescribed. After the diagnosis of the doctor-psychotherapist, a clinical psychologist or psychologist can start work. In the case of problems such as panic attacks and depression, if there is no doctor psychotherapist, his sessions can be performed by a clinical psychologist instead of an ordinary psychologist. Who knows about all this in Azerbaijan? Nobody. That’s why the situation is so bad and sad.”
“In general, everyone forgets one point in this case. That illiterate, incompetent, hard-nosed specialist gets angry and not only beats the child, but even uses inappropriate words. That man is a maniac. This shows that he enjoys the torture he inflicts. In another video, the head of the enterprise can be seen behaving in the same way. What is happening that is not reflected in the videos yet. In general, he is a bunch of collective maniacs and psychopaths. This is the situation not only in that institution, but in psychology centers that have sprung up like mushrooms,” E. Akbar emphasized.
The psychotherapist noted that parents are generally to blame:
“When parents buy themselves a pair of socks and shoes, they measure and buy with interest. But when you take your child to such centers, do you wonder what the psychologists working there have, what kind of knowledge they have. The parent is not interested and goes to the swindler. This shows that the parent is neglecting his child. Probably, everyone knows such a person who was a different person until yesterday and now works as a psychologist. Even those who engage in prostitution call themselves psychologists today. It’s terrible. This situation is very widespread. As a result, real psychologists have had a dark day. The problem is that the league of psychology and psychotherapy in Azerbaijan was created this year. Therefore, the regulation of these cases is also bad. As a result, many well-educated, valuable psychologists move abroad. Because in the eyes of the public, this specialty has been very badly put down. People in social networks he goes to the nail-biting psychologists who are still operating. They think that everyone is like that. I think the League should sue them. Because of them, the name of psychologists sinks.”
According to him, the number of psychotherapists in Azerbaijan today is very small:
“There are as many experts as you can count on your fingers. Theirs too education I have a problem. Psychology, psychotherapy is a science that cannot be mastered by reading books. You can become a kidney and liver doctor by reading books, but a person who studies psychotherapy and clinical psychology should definitely go to Victor Frank, Karl Gusto, Wei Yong, or Sigmund Freud. The situation of the person who is a doctor and a psychologist is very bad. It should be checked whether he has the right to be in this field and work with people. Again, most of the people from other field then bought fake diplomas from Ukraine online. Or Turkey they were admitted to the university with a certificate and studied. People should be alert. They should know where and to whom they are going.
