“Shared lands are given to the wealthy, to those who have relatives in office” |

The resident of Saatli says that his application has not been considered

“I participated in the first Karabakh war. As a war veteran, I get 80 manats. I can’t make a living.”

It was reported to Meydan TV in Azadkend of Saatli district village resident Dayanat Samadov said. According to him, there is only 1 hectare of land in the village. Although he was engaged in planting and harvesting in that area, he was damaged by the water problem this year.

“A family of four is allocated only 1 hectare of land. I don’t know what to plant to support my family. I have been applying for at least 1 hectare of land for several years, but my application is not considered.”

Dayanat Samadov noted that others like him in the village earn a living by farming. In the absence of water, their condition worsens:

“The situation is gradually becoming more difficult. As children grow, so does the demand. On the other hand, the cost of planting has increased. There is no other job in the village so that I can work and support my family. If I had at least 2-3 hectares of additional land, he would have made money for living.”

The complainant says that the reason why his application was not considered is not the lack of land, but discrimination.

“Those who have a hectare of land can deduct their annual expenses, but we cannot. Allotment lands are given to the wealthy and to those who have official relatives,” said Dayanat Samadov.

Azadkand Village Chairman of the municipality Fuad Rahmanov told Meydan TV that one hectare of land will be given to Dayanat Samadov after the cotton season.
