Britain on September 26, announced sanctions against Russia due to the referendum held in Ukraine.
Russia conducts referendums in the territories it occupies in Ukraine – the so-called LXR and DPR, as well as Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.

Britain government’s statement reads:
“The Russian regime faked these referendums Ukraine to usurp their lands and justify their illegal war. This process completely reflects the annexation of Crimea in 2014 with disinformation, threats to people and falsified results.
Those who organized the referendum
Some of those included in the sanctions list are those who participated in the organization of referendums, and another part provided organizational and financial support to Russian intervention.
For example, the Goznak company printed Russian passports distributed in the occupied territories.
The Ima Consulting company was put on the sanctions list for advertising the referendums held in the territories occupied by Russia.
In addition, the partners of the “Kiyevskaya ploshad” company, which works in the field of real estate, are on the sanctions list Azerbaijan God Nisanov and Zarakh Iliev, head of the Ural Mountain Mining Company Iskander Mahmudov.
Britain government states that Putin still relies on oligarchs and elites to keep the war going.
55 members of the board of directors of Sberbank, Gazprombank and Sovkombank banks have been added to the new sanctions list.
These are the “governments” of the occupied territories in Ukraine.
