The Kremlin says it has no intention of closing the borders

The head of the Migration Service of Kazakhstan, Colonel Aslan Atalikov, said that the number of people arriving in the country from Russia has increased dramatically.

President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peksov said that despite tens of thousands of Russian men fleeing to Georgia, Kazakhstan and Mongolia due to mobilization, Moscow does not intend to close the borders.

But in the meantime, Russians continue to leave the country. According to some media reports, more than 260,000 people have left Russia since the partial mobilization was announced.

Colonel Aslan Atalikov, the head of the Migration Service of Kazakhstan, said that the number of people coming to the country from Russia has increased dramatically.

He said that 40,000 of the Russians who came to Kazakhstan have already gone to other countries, especially Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
