Since May, Shayavush Dashdamirov, who lives in Buzovna settlement of Baku, has been coming to the seashore every Sunday to join the group cleaning the rocks.

They say that these rocks have been occupied for many years, blocking people’s way to the sea. Local residents have expressed their displeasure to the relevant institutions regarding the fencing of the sea coast for years.

Shayavush Dashdamirov, a resident of Buzovna, says that he has participated in dozens of such clean-up actions so far.

“When I was in school in 1972, my name is on this rock, Sayavush written there. In 1972, when it was fashionable, we came and wrote our name with trash. That is, to this rock school We have been children coming and going since years. We are close here. It was all golden-yellow sand. Sakina Aliyeva, who goes for a walk with her children on the shores of Buzovna on her days off, says that even though she lives in the city, she comes to these rocks where she was born, where she spent her childhood and youth, to relax.

“I am very proud that they are doing improvement work here, fixing everything. As children, we visited this rock a lot, we played, we have pictures, alas, these rocks were never built. Now we are very happy that this rock is like this. Ordinary people could not come here and rest. Because every angle was covered”, said Sakina Aliyeva.

The governor of the country also commented on the fencing of the coast, and after that, the demolition of the houses and fences that occupied the rocks on the coast began.
