Kalbajar The settlers say that there are people who got sick in this building because of the lack of conditions

“As soon as we raise our voice, they say that your land has been taken and you will have to move away. We still don’t know if we will move to Kalbajar in 5-6 years or not. Until then, the cold, concrete floor, and dampness will kill us all. We have been living here for 30 years, let them come. officers let them sit in these houses, let’s see if they can keep their feet on the cold floor for 30 minutes?… We ask the institutions that hear us, the president, to find a cure.”

More than 70 homeless families, who have been living in a two-story, poor dormitory for 30 years in Gulustan settlement of Ganja, are asking for help.

Movsum Shukurov was young when he moved to this building. Now he is almost 60 years old. He says that his life was full of worries in this hostel without conditions.

“We load the bread money into the light. It’s cold, you can’t sit at home. The ground is also concrete, our feet are freezing. Large families stay in small rooms, half of the family sleeps on the floor – on the concrete floor. People get sick.”

Narmin Kahramanova says that their situation has become more difficult since the light limit was imposed:

“It was good at that time that we didn’t pay electricity bills, we installed tiles and heated the houses. Now there is a limit on the electricity, we pay 30 manat electricity bill per month, we pay the bread money on top of the electricity bill, and we still remain in debt. We have to put a wood stove. We bring the dry garbage that falls into our hands in the garden and burn it. Wherever we go, they say, we pay for food, pay for utilities, collect, give it all to the light. It is very difficult to live here. We have been dying for 30 years.”

Aynura Mammadkhanova claims that the state institutions forgot about this dormitory and the families living there:

“This place was flooded. We repeatedly execution We called our authorities, our deputy, the Refugee Committee, but no one came to us. Our houses were in the water. Nobody needs us as a person, nobody cares whether people live here or not. I have two children, both of whom suffer from rheumatism. There is a teacher Rafig in Gachginkom, we tell him, he says, what should I do, I have sent an application to where it was necessary. We break from the cold. Our situation is unbearable. Either move them to a place with normal conditions, or here gas let them be”.

The fact that the building is in a state of disrepair is another problem. The displaced people say that they live in 5-6 square meter houses in a squat:

“They came and checked and said, gas it is impossible to draw, the building is in a state of disrepair. Why do we live in a dilapidated building? Look, there is no one to answer this question.”

In the dormitory family of martyr there is also Residents say, Second Karabakh In the war perished Ismayil Gavilov’s two young children also live in suffering:

“My little son has been operated twice, he is a soldier of the future. Those two cubs live in this poor room. At least this one family of martyr be transferred to a suitable house”.
