The Uruguay national team said goodbye to the World Cup

On December 2, the last games of the group stage of the world football championship organized in Qatar were held.

In Group G, the Brazilian team, which qualified for the playoffs, faced Cameroon. The Africans defeated the Brazilian team, which is considered one of the main favorites of the World Cup, with a minimal score.

In the other match of the group, the Swiss national team challenged Serbia. If the Swiss won, they would qualify regardless of the outcome of the Cameroon-Brazil match. The 3:2 victory brought Switzerland to the 1/8 finals of the WC-2022.

In Group H, the Portuguese national team, which already qualified for the 1/8 finals, faced South Korea. Although the Portuguese opened the score in the match, the South Korean national team was happy with the 2:1 victory.

In the other game, the teams of Ghana and Uruguay clarified their relations. The African representative could advance to the 1/8 finals thanks to the victory. But the Uruguay team won by scoring two goals. From this group, South Korea, which has better results in goal difference, advanced to the playoffs with the second place. As a result, Uruguay and Ghana had to stop fighting in the World Cup.
