Does ‘Aztelekom’ violate the antimonopoly law? |

State Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control Service under the Ministry of Economy “Aztelekom” LLC and “Baku Telefon Rabitesi” LLC investigated whether it violated the antimonopoly legislation.

According to the information published on the website of the service, an investigation was conducted in order to determine the compliance of the observed increases in service tariffs in the mentioned institutions with the requirements of the antimonopoly legislation: “Regarding those enterprises, the State Service also received applications from private internet providers. “Private internet providers have noted that the increase in tariffs has a negative impact on their activity.”

According to the statement, as a result of investigations, a case was filed against the said institutions on the signs of manipulation of prices in order to gain an additional advantage in the market.

For the time being, it was not possible to learn the attitude of “Aztelekom” and “Baktelekom” MMCs to the official announcement.
