The Fed raised the discount rate again
Acting as the central bank of the country USAAccording to the results of the two-day November meeting, the Federal Reserve System (FED) increased the interest rate for the fourth time in a row by 50 basis points – to 4.25-4.50%.
The FED has released information about this.
“The Open Market Committee aims to achieve maximum employment and 2% inflation over the long term. In support of these goals, the committee decided to raise the target range for the federal funds rate to 4.25-4.50%,” the statement said.
All members of the committee voted unanimously in favor of this decision.
The Fed has increased the discount rate for the seventh time since the beginning of 2022.
