A girl has died after being attacked by a leopard in the Indian state of Gujarat.

According to NDTV, 7-year-old Mannat Rathod, who went to the riverside to do laundry with his grandparents, was dragged away by a leopard.

Although the authorities reported that the girl was taken to the hospital by local residents, doctors Rathod is said to be dead.
