End news: United Nations (UN) The Security Council extended the decision allowing the use of Turkey’s Cilvegözü Border Gate for the delivery of humanitarian aid to northwestern Syria for another 6 months.

UNThe 15-member Security Council of July 10until Turkey unanimously adopted the resolution allowing the delivery of humanitarian aid to approximately 4 million people.

UNAccording to , an estimated 15.3 million people will be in need of humanitarian protection and assistance in 2023 (the highest number since the conflict began in 2011).

According to the draft resolution adopted by the UN Security Council in 2014, international aid is sent to the regions in the north-west of Syria.

Currently food and medicine aid is delivered only through the Cilvegözü Border Gate. (AA)
