The Minister of Energy and Water Resources of Lebanon, Walid Fayyad, made a statement to the press about the electricity crisis in his country. Recalling that the government approved a budget of 600 million dollars in August 2022 to increase the production of electricity in the country to 4 hours a day, Fayyad said that the Central Bank refused to pay this amount.

Earlier parliament and stating that there is no need to re-discuss the decision approved by the government or bring it to the meeting of the Council of Ministers, Feyyad noted that a budget of 600 million dollars is needed to provide electricity. 4 hours a day for the next 5 months.
