Canada will send four Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine

OTTAWA, 26 january (Reuters) – Canada will send four Leopard 2 main battle tanks to Ukraine, Canadian Defense Minister Anita Anand said on Thursday, after Germany this week allowed other countries to re-export the German-made tank.

“This donation is combined with contributions from allies and partners Ukraine will significantly help the armed forces in defense against Russian invasion,” Anand told reporters in Ottawa.
