  • Let’s start from the beginning, from Ceyranbatan. In other words, you can be born in Jeyranbatan, but a person is not from Jeyranbatan, he comes there from somewhere, because it was created later as a settlement.
  • It was established in 1959. My father lived in Baku since 1947, and we are originally from Yardimli. Later he moved to Ceyranbatana. They went and brought my mother from the homeland, they were relatives, and then I was there. Five child we have been, my sister passed away at the age of 18, and then my brother in Karabakh martyr it happened, now we are one sister, two brothers.

  • My mother was going to a tailoring course, it was somewhere in the mid-70s. I used to go with him, there was also a theater club in the same place. 8-10 I would be old. I was waiting for my mother, watching the exercises. Then we bought a house opposite the House of Culture. I went to music school there. At school, we staged the lessons we had in literature classes. Teacher Narin and teacher Solmaz conducted such a lesson. They taught monologues from works. I studied literature, history and geography in high school, I don’t know what mathematics and physics are. Once the students of the University of Arts prepared a play at our school, they also gave me a role, I was very happy. In 1984, I finished school and submitted my documents to the University of Arts. In the second year, I failed to write, I was graded in my specialty and failed to write.   • I was studying and working in that theater. I worked at the Camera Theater until I joined the Young Audience Theater.

In my 22 years of theater experience, they didn’t recognize me anywhere except “Torgov”, but after appearing in 2 serials, they recognized me everywhere except “Torgov”. Serials bring popularity. He was also a negative character in “The Treasure Tree”. All the serials I shot were well-maintained.
  • How is the situation with the feature film from that point of view, are you invited or declined?

  • Ilgar Najaf is very good from that point of view.
  • How did you see yourself as an outside audience in that film?
  • It didn’t affect me.
  • Did you play poorly? I was thankful you weren’t around when I watched the movie.
  • It is a phenomenon that happened in all regions in those times. The heads of the collective farms were the owners of the villages. Barat is one of them. He is a morally damaged person. They were the officials of that time, I once listened to one of them live when I was filming in one of the regions. Somewhere he was 90 years old, he revealed everything himself.   • It is a long time ago. I reacted like a human being to what was happening in the society, I saw that they called a meeting in the theater because of me, I said it’s not the 37th year, there’s no need, I’ll go myself. Even now I am like that, I can’t be indifferent, I express my attitude, I suffer the damage.
  • Even if you win as an individual, you lose as an individual, today you are needed on the stage of that theater, you are also needed on that stage.
  • This is my destiny, my life. I’m not saying I did right or wrong. Of course, there is a certain disappointment, but maybe I will do it again in the future. If they say to do it, let life get in the way, maybe I won’t do it.

  • Perhaps. I don’t know when, where or what I will do. Maybe there will be an event that I can’t be indifferent to, I will say a more harsh opinion. Maybe I’ll keep quiet. It’s life, I can’t diagnose it, I can’t frame it.
  • Character or diagnosis? Maybe impatience?
  • Sometimes they tell me that you are a very patient person. Every time has its own judgment.   • I’m going to say that the management and environment of 10 years ago have changed. The lights of the facade of the theater are still not lit at night. The lights of all the buildings in the center of the city are on, but the lights of the facade of the theater building are not on, they do not turn on, so we owe it to the light.   • The main thing is that there is creativity, there is an environment, we are still building it, let’s see how it turns out. We can build what we want, we can prepare the show we want. If not, put on such a play, let such an actor or actress play, and you stand next to him… that’s not art. I worked in many places, created a theater, I saw that it doesn’t work, administrative issues are not for me. The creative side will not fail, but the technical issues will. I can’t even stay outside the theater. We participated in the festival of private theaters with the “Lachin” theater studio, but we could not continue. They used my name as an opponent, in Azerbaijan this word is a word of condemnation. The theater itself is an opposition, it is a mirror of the society, it should show what is right and wrong.
