Feb 11 (Reuters) – Ecuador’s state oil company Petroecuador appointed Maria Elisa Soledispa as interim chief executive on Saturday, making her the first woman to lead the company in its history, the government said in a statement.

Soledispa, who most recently served as Petroecuador’s marketing manager, was elected in an extraordinary meeting and will be subject to audits, the statement said.
