LONDON, 20 February (Reuters) – Scottish Finance Minister Keith Forbes on Monday National As the leader of her party (SNP) and First Minister of Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon has announced that she will take part in the leadership contest.

The SNP has said it will elect a new leader in a six-week vote by its members, which will close on March 27. Sturgeon will remain in office until a successor is elected.
