20 February (Reuters) – Prime Minister Fumio Kishida Monday of Japan Ukraine President Vladimir Zelensky said that he will host the “Group of Seven” (G7) summit on Friday.

Japan also gave Ukraine another 5.5 million dollars plans to pledge aid, Kishida said at an online global event.

Kyodo of Japan news agency writes that the purpose of the meeting is to confirm the support for Ukraine and the continuation of sanctions against Russia and to demonstrate the unity of the group.
