of Ukraine The Ministry of Economy lowered the GDP growth forecast for 2023 to 1%, Interfax Ukraine news agency said on Monday with reference to the deputy minister.
The ministry had previously forecast that the economy, which was hit by the Russian occupation and shrank by about a third last year, would grow by 3.2% this year.
Speaking at the event held in Kyiv, Deputy Economy Minister Oleksiy Sobolev said that the new figure is based on the assessment that the fighting will continue beyond the middle of this year.
He also predicted that inflation would drop to 24% from 26.6% last year, Interfax news gives
The Economy Ministry was not immediately available to answer questions from Reuters about the Interfax report.
