SAN FRANCISCO, March 9 (Reuters) – USA criminals have taken over an Internet domain selling malware used to steal data from and control victims’ computers, authorities said Thursday.

“Criminals used NetWire on a global scale, and we responded by dismantling the infrastructure that caused untold harm to victims around the world,” said US Attorney Martin Estrada.
A US spokesman for the probe did not immediately respond to a request for further comment.
While Swiss law enforcement authorities separately seized the computer server hosting the malware infrastructure, the site’s administrator, a Croatian citizen, was arrested in his home country on Tuesday. imprisonment was done.
