March 14 (Reuters) – OpenAI, the creator of chatbot sensation ChatGPT, said on Tuesday it is starting to release a powerful artificial intelligence model known as GPT-4, paving the way for the rollout of even more human-like technology.
The startup, which is funded by Microsoft Corp ( MSFT.O ), said in a blog post that its latest technology is “multimodal,” meaning images and text prompts can prompt it to create content. Text input features will be available first to ChatGPT Plus subscribers and app developers via a waiting list, while image input capabilities remain in research preview.
