Šimonytė: Easter reminds us that even the thickest darkness ends, the greatest frost recedes, if we keep hope and patiently move forward

“It has been celebrated by all Christians for several millennia Easter each of us is reminded again and again that even the thickest darkness ends, the greatest frost recedes, if only we keep hope and patiently move forward,” it reads. Government in the Prime Minister’s greeting distributed by the Department of Communication.

According to I. Šimonytė, everyone has their own cloud of worries and it can often seem that the grass is greener in the neighbor’s yard.

“However, I believe we have had enough opportunities to make sure that sharing makes us stronger, and sensitivity to the pain of others grows the strength of solidarity and communion,” St. Easter Sunday says I. Šimonytė.

“St. Each of us needs the light of Easter to see the beauty of the world, to see other people as a gift of life. I sincerely congratulate you on the occasion of Holy Easter and wish you the courage to be on the side of creation, light, and not denial and darkness. Have a nice celebration of the Resurrection. Let there be a lot of light and hope,” reads the Prime Minister’s greeting.
