After the gruesome death of two young people in Vilnius – the response of the authorities: BPC explained what kind of report was received

After familiarizing with the data of the information system, it was established that the call from Architektų Street was received at 7:52 p.m.

The officer who responded to him found out the address of the scene of the incident, other important circumstances, prepared and transmitted to the police a report about the need for assistance at the scene of the incident.

The report states that the neighbor is being beaten by a man, possibly there are young children, the reporter hears cries for help.

Considering the circumstances, the operator classified the incident as Domestic Violence.

It should be noted that when responding to a report and evaluating the report information, the police also have the opportunity to listen to the audio recordings of the calls.

The report also states that after evaluating all the collected information, it was determined that the operator of the General Help Center who answered the call performed her duties properly. According to the report, she is a professional and long-term employee who has accumulated extensive and valuable experience. Thanks to the aforementioned officer, many lives were saved – this is evidenced by the gratitude received from the Suicide and Violence Prevention Commission of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania.
