On Wednesday, LVAT adopted a final and non-appealable ruling, rejecting A. Martinkaus’s complaint and upholding the Vilnius District Administrative Court’s 2023 decision unchanged. the January decision. Former LKPB officer A. Martinkus was dismissed from his position due to gross violations of criminal intelligence activities and legal acts, procedures regulating criminal intelligence, leaking communications and information to persons associated with organized crime and on that basis the cancellation of permission to work with classified information.

in 2023 in January Vilnius District Administrative Court stated that Ministry of Internal Affairs and LKPB, performing an additional inspection of A. Martinkaus, found significant circumstances for resolving the dispute under consideration, in accordance with the rules of evidence evaluation, essentially examined the entirety of the evidence, therefore the requirements of A. Martinkaus’ complaint are not met, obliging LKPB to return him to work, to award compensation for the period when he was removed from office.

LVAT, rejecting A. Martinkaus’s complaint, noted that the court examined the mentioned and other evidence in the case in detail and comprehensively, after evaluating them, determined the circumstances significant to the case. According to the court, evidence was presented in the administrative case, which was recognized as appropriate and reasonable and sufficient, based on which the court concluded that there are no grounds for making a favorable decision in relation to A. Martinkaus.

Martinkaus reached the Seimas in January of this year, in which he asks the parliament to initiate a temporary commission of inquiry to evaluate former police chiefs, including the former chief of LKPB Rolandas Kiskishis former deputy Andrzej Roginskiformer Head of the Immunity Board Elan Jablonskas, actions. He suspects that former police chiefs may have illegally followed other officers.

The police deny these accusations and claim that it is manipulation, revenge for the dismissed officer.
