Zelenskis accepted the invitation: he will participate in the NATO summit in Vilnius

NATO Secretary General J. Stoltenberg has announced that he has invited Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the Alliance summit in Vilnius this summer. According to him, the head of state will attend the summit.

“I discussed preparations for the July NATO summit with V. Zelenskiy, invited him and I am glad that he (V. Zelenskiy, – ed.) accepted the invitation and will participate in the summit meeting,” said Mr. Stoltenberg.

The summit, he said, should reaffirm support for Ukraine as needed and adopt a multi-year program to help Ukraine transition from Soviet to NATO standards and doctrines.

On Thursday, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg visited Kyiv and met with President V. Zelensky.

He confirmed that Ukraine’s future lies in the Alliance, and therefore NATO will do everything to make it possible.
