“Report” informs that this was said by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Yalchin Rafiyev in an interview with “The Peninsula” publication of Qatar.
“I don’t think that economic relations are currently at any level, but there is a great potential that we will try to use as soon as possible,” he stressed.
Y. Rafiyev added that in this sense, the liberated territories open new opportunities for cooperation.
According to him, one of the obvious steps taken in the direction of deepening cooperation will be the creation of an investment group within the framework of the joint commission between Qatar and Azerbaijan.
According to the Deputy Minister, this group can be formed after the expected visit of Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov to Qatar in 2024.
He emphasized that the Persian Gulf region is of great importance for Azerbaijan and Qatar is the center of attention of the country.
