Fuad Huseynaliyev, director of the “Report” Information Agency, said this in the “Business Morning” program broadcast on the “ARB 24” television channel.

According to him, at present, the place of the negotiations is not important for Armenia: “After the biased position of the USA against us, it is clear that The Washington platform collapsed. Azerbaijan will not go to any negotiations in the United States. We see the bias of Europe, mainly France these days. For this reason, the Brussels format is actually in question. It is known that the official Yerevan avoids the platforms offered by Russia in recent times. That’s why the Moscow talks are not possible.”

The director of the agency believes that after the signing of the peace agreement between the two countries, Yerevan has no chance to avoid this obligation. He noted that if there will be a peace agreement signed between the two countries, it will be reported to international platforms – the United Nations, the European Union and other power centers: “Besides, the document must be ratified in the parliaments of both countries. Therefore, there is no need for another country to play a guarantor role in the peace agreement.”

F.Huseynaliyev said that the parties are already trying to solve every issue within the framework of the peace agreement: “One of the problematic points for us is that 7 villages of Gazakh and 1 village of Nakhchivan are still under occupation. In my opinion, the parties are trying to resolve these issues peacefully. Therefore, some common denominators remain. Maybe the parties are working on another format of this.”

According to him, the peace agreement can be signed as a framework document: “It seems to me that the issue of demarcation will not be reflected in the peace agreement. Because this process takes a lot of time. To start this, it is important to sign the peace document. In the Almaty Declaration of 1991, it was mentioned that the territory of Azerbaijan is 86.6 thousand square kilometers and Armenia is 29.8 thousand square kilometers. According to some reports, even during the USSR, the issue of border delimitation between the two republics was not fully resolved. In any case, the whole case should be resolved with the participation of experts from both sides, and the new border should be defined.”

The director of the agency also emphasized that there is no harm to Azerbaijan in bringing up the document in the US Senate that prohibits the president from suspending the 907th amendment: “Currently they are taking away the right of the head of the country to decide on the cancellation of the 907th amendment. I don’t think that Washington can impose any sanctions against us today. It should be noted that Azerbaijan is a very important country in the region. The only issue is the resolution S.3000 passed by the Senate regarding the 907th amendment. It has not come into force yet. At the moment, it doesn’t affect us at all.”
