Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with the delegation led by Leo Dockerty, Deputy Secretary of State for European Affairs, at the Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth and Development Office of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized that Azerbaijan attaches importance to the multifaceted relations with Great Britain, touched on the possibilities of further strengthening the existing partnership between the two countries in the political, economic, energy, security and humanitarian fields and said that the intensification of the political dialogue is important in terms of determining new directions of cooperation.
In addition, the parties exchanged views on cooperation between the two countries in the fields of transport, education and renewable energy, as well as the possible activities of British companies in the direction of restoration and reconstruction of the territories freed from occupation.
The minister also briefed his colleague on the current situation and realities in the region, the large-scale restoration and construction works carried out in the liberated territories, the threat of landmines hindering this activity, as well as the plans for the establishment of sustainable peace in the South Caucasus region of Azerbaijan and the practical steps taken in this direction, as well as the agenda of normalization with Armenia. informed.
