“Report” informs that in the plot called “A country with more than 90 percent of its population being Azerbaijanis”, the current territory of Armenia belongs to the Azerbaijani Turks, the fact that they settled and lived in this place since ancient times is confirmed in all sources and documents, these historical lands are from time to time hated by Armenians. appropriation by

It is reported that the territory of Amasiya district, as part of Agbaba and Shoreyel districts, belonged to Eastern Anatolia. This territory, which borders Turkey and Georgia, was given to present-day Armenia as the lands of Amasiya region according to the Moscow and Kars agreements of 1921. The people of Sinykh, Mumukhan, Gonchali, Ordekli, Seldağilan, Mustoğlu, Bagchali and Soyudlü villages, who did not agree with the region’s accession to Armenia, went to Turkey. In many villages, a large part of the population moved to Kars when the border between the USSR and Turkey was established, and some of those who remained were subjected to repressions.

It was emphasized that Amasiya district, established on September 9, 1930, was recognized as a large district in the territory of Aghbaba district of Western Azerbaijan. The center of the district, whose area is 608 square kilometers, is the city-type settlement Amasiya:

“In the Amasiya region, whose entire population consists of Karapag Turks, 5,800 Azerbaijanis lived in 1831, 12,288 in 1897, 9,888 in 1926, 14,911 in 1939, 12,794 in 1959, and 19,724 in 1972. . After the Armenians were moved to the Caucasus, they slowly began to open their feet in the Amasiya region. Until the period of Soviet rule, Armenians lived in only three of the 40 villages that existed in this area.

During the Soviet era, 22 of the 24 villages in the region consisted of only Azerbaijanis. In 1948-1953, people from Amasia were forcibly deported to the territories of Azerbaijan. Parallel to this, Armenians from Turkey, Syria, and Lebanon were transferred to Armenia and settled in Gyumri, i.e. Leninakan city and Amasiya region. At the end of 1988, the region was completely cleared of Oghuz Turks, Azerbaijanis were forced to leave 23 villages and settlements. Finally, in 1995, as a result of the unification of the territory of Amasiya district, Shirak marzi was created, the center of which is the city of Gyumri. “The names of 25 villages in Amasiya region have been changed by various decisions of the Armenian leadership.”

In the end, it was pointed out that the special place of Azerbaijani Turks in the history of Amasia is undeniable:

“Despite this, as a result of the Armenians’ terror and displacement, neither Azerbaijanis nor their own space remained in this area. However, in the memory of the population and in the documents confirming their identity, their identity and the place where they ended up are recorded, and they live in that way in the memory. We are sure that this place, where more than 90 percent of its total population is Azerbaijanis, will be reunited with its original owner and will restore its rich historical past.”

It should be recalled that the purpose of the Western Azerbaijan Chronicle project is to preserve and popularize the name of our historical and ancient lands, as well as the deportation of Azerbaijanis by the Armenians, toponyms that existed in those territories, but their names have been erased, countless examples of underground and surface material culture – ancient settlements, necropolises, mounds, castle, palace and fortification remains, caravansary, bridges, tomb chests, crossstones, horse and ram statues, temple, church, mosque, pyres and hearths, and conveying to the world community the facts that confirm that the area is a pure Oghuz-Turk settlement.

Also President Ilham Aliyev Regarding Western Azerbaijan, he said, “The map dating back to the beginning of the 20th century once again shows that Western Azerbaijan is the historical land of Azerbaijan, the names of cities and villages are of Azerbaijani origin, and we know very well that the Azerbaijani people have lived in the territory of today’s Armenia throughout history. Now the main task is to let the world community know about it”, he said.

In addition, it is to illuminate the thoughts of historians and researchers about West Azerbaijan, the life story of people who were deported.

The program was broadcast on November 21 at 19:30 on the air of Baku TV and on the YouTube channel.
