Famil Khalilov’s spouse alleges arrest is retaliation for critical social media posts, depicting prison as torment for the arm-paralyzed individual. In a May 2 raid, undercover officers allegedly found drugs at Khalilov’s home, also confiscating electronics and attempting to access them using Khalilov’s 8-year-old daughter. Previously deported from Switzerland despite asylum pleas, the family returned to Azerbaijan after eight years waiting for asylum in Europe.
