Prosecutors are in the sights of Ukmergė district municipal council members’ expenses

According to the prosecutor’s office, during the investigation, it will be assessed whether the benefits paid to the members of the Ukmergė District Municipal Council for the term of 2019-2023, intended for the payment of expenses related to their activities as members of the council, were used for their direct purpose, rationally, purposefully, legally and without violating the public interest .

The investigation was launched after information appeared in the public space, which raises doubts about the transparency and legality of the use of benefits for the members of the Ukmergė district municipal council, according to the published report.
