Media: the former director of the Zarasai hospital wrote off more than 40,000 medical devices costing EUR

As the portal announces, the creative team of the TV3 TV show “Attention Center” discovered that an operating table, a modern anesthesia machine and a diagnostic negatoscope were missing from the hospital.

“The written-off and, as stated, non-functional equipment was not disposed of, as it should be according to the current procedure, but in a company selling medical equipment in Kaunas,” the portal announced on Monday.

ELTA reminds that at the beginning of July, 12 doctors who disagreed with the reorganization of the hospital implemented by the municipality, as well as its director R. Lamanauskas, left the Zarasai hospital.
