He will continue parliamentary control over the privatization of “Pušyno kelios”: he will apply to STT

“There are still unanswered questions, which I propose to keep for our periodic parliamentary control. If the Health or other committee wanted to take over, we could give it away, but none of us wants to take over,” said Algirdas Stončaitis, chairman of the anti-corruption commission of the parliament, during the meeting.

Director of RVUL: we have problems with the creation of records in property registers
Jelena Kutkauskienė, director of the Republican Vilnius University Hospital (RVUL), claimed that there are currently problems with the creation of records in the property registers of “Pušyno kelios”. According to her, the problems arise because the former owners of the property did not register the fact that the sheds of the complex were demolished.

“Several events have taken place since the last Anti-corruption meeting. (…) We have a lot of problems with the creation of records in property registers, because in 2001, 15 years before the transfer of the property to the hospital, the sheds were demolished and this fact was not fully registered, but only partially registered in the Center of Registers”, said J during the meeting. Kutkauskienė.

“Once again, we are trying to organize the documents, because the regulation has changed, there are much stricter requirements for the registration of legal facts, and we are trying to overcome all bureaucratic and non-bureaucratic obstacles so that the record corresponds to the real situation we have on Pušyno kelej,” she explained.

Vice Minister: the institution is taking action, everything will be sorted out
Meanwhile, the Deputy Minister of Health Protection Danguolė Jankauskienė assured that RVUL is doing the actions related to the privatization of “Pušyno kelios” properly and everything will be prepared for sale as the conditions stipulate.

“We are implementing the resolutions of the Anti-corruption Commission, the procedure was suspended, we were waiting for the Law on Centralized Asset Management, which was adopted, and now Turto bankas will be able to participate in the adoption.

The institution takes action. (…) All this will be arranged and the institution provides in the conditions of sale, according to the municipality’s proposal, that the buildings be sold in a complex and the purpose is not changed, the desired functions are preserved”, said D. Jankauskienė.

ELTA reminds that the Ministry of Health (SAM) mentioned the intention to close the rehabilitation center “Pušyno kelias” in the first half of last year.

At the end of May, the Deputy Minister of Health D. Jankauskienė confirmed that it was decided to close the rehabilitation center “Pušyno kelias” belonging to RVUL.

According to the Vice Minister, the rehabilitation center needs excessive investments in order to continue its activities properly.

The deputy minister was seconded by the director of RVUL Jelena Kutkauskienė.

According to her, the rehabilitation center would need more than 10 million. EUR investments, which, she noted, will never pay off. At that time, the initial value of the unit’s assets at the auction should reach 4.2 million. euros.

However, the Vice-Chairman of the Seimas, social democrat Julius Sabatauskas, said that the representatives of SAM cannot justify why it was decided to urgently privatize “Pušyno road”.

According to J. Sabatauskas, although the issue of the privatization of “Pušyno kelios” was discussed at the meetings of the Seimas Anti-corruption Commission, SAM’s explanations regarding the motives for the sale of the center are vague.
